III. Does UTCB provide study programmes taught entirely in English?
 Yes — UTCB offers programmes taught in English or French at the Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages and at the Faculty of Building Services Engineering.

IV. Can I apply for a preparatory Romanian language year if I do not speak Romanian?
 Yes — UTCB offers a Preparatory Romanian Language Year (APLR) for students who wish to prepare for study in Romanian. The guide for the students studying at APLR can be found here.

IX. Does UTCB provide dormitories or student housing options for international students?
Yes — UTCB maintains student dormitories, and the admission site will indicate a housing application form that will be published in due time for the 2026 – 2027 academic year admission.

X. What are the visa requirements for non-EU international students, and how do I apply?
 Applicants must obtain a Letter of Acceptance from the Romanian Ministry of Education. Then, with that and proof of accommodation, tuition payment, and other documents, they apply for a student visa. All information is listed on the admission page.

XI. Where can I read more about all the procedures regarding the immigration papers?

The official web page of the General Inspectorate for Immigration and of the International Organization for Migration (Romania) provide valuable info in this regard.

XII. Are there requirements to register with local authorities upon arrival (residence permit, local registration)?
Yes — non-EU students should register with local immigration or government authorities and obtain a residence permit as required by Romanian law.

XIII. How does UTCB assist international students in navigating legal and administrative procedures?
IRO representatives provide guidance and support with administrative procedures, admissions, visa documents, and coordination. Also, several information sessions are organized by IRO throughout the academic year in order to better support the international students to fulfil all the legal obligations.
