UTCB Students Experience Erasmus+ Short-Term Mobility in Valencia
From 25 to 29 May 2026, fifteen students from STI–FILS at the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest (UTCB) took part in an Erasmus+ short-term blended mobility for traineeship in Valencia, Spain.
The mobility programme focused on Spanish language courses, offering students the opportunity to strengthen their linguistic competences while immersing themselves in a new cultural and international environment. Through interactive classes and practical activities, participants were able to improve their communication skills, discover elements of Spanish culture, and experience learning in an international setting.
Beyond the academic component, the mobility represented a valuable opportunity for personal development, intercultural exchange, and collaboration among participants. The students had the chance to explore Valencia, engage with local culture, and create memorable experiences together.
Among the highlights of the programme, students mentioned the visit to Bioparc València as one of the most memorable moments of their stay. They also appreciated the quality and organization of the courses, emphasizing the supportive and engaging teaching approach.
Reflecting on the experience, one participant shared:
“One of the most memorable moments of this short-term mobility was the visit to Bioparc València. The Spanish courses were very well managed and created a motivating learning environment. This experience allowed us not only to improve our language skills, but also to discover Spanish culture and enjoy an enriching international experience. I would definitely recommend this programme to other students.”
This short-term Erasmus+ mobility demonstrates once again the importance of international opportunities in supporting students’ academic, linguistic, and personal development. Through programmes such as these, UTCB continues to encourage mobility, intercultural dialogue, and international engagement among its students.
